Cub Scout Pack 3094 of Downtown Overland Park

Welcome to the Pack 3094 Site!

Click on "calendar" to the left to find our Scouting Schedule.

Cub Scouting is available to boys and girls in 1st through 5th grade. (beginning 2018)--more information soon to follow.

(As soon as a girl or boy completes Kindergarten, they are eligible to join! --which also means they (and YOU) can attend Day Camp right away!)

IN 2017, OUR PACK CELEBRATED ITS 75TH ANNIVERSARY IN SCOUTING!!

If you're a current scout parent, log in to find more information about the pack and events.

You can also find more on the Pack 3094 Facebook page, including dozens of photos from events!

Not a current scout parent?  Come to one of our Pack or Den meetings to find out more and sign up.  You can also click "Contact our Pack" above to get more information from our Cubmaster or Assistant Cubmaster on how you too can get involved!

Den Meetings are held every Monday we have school at 7 p.m. at Overland Park Lutheran Church just west of Downtown Overland Park on 79th and Lowell.

And HERE is a great link for you to use for your Cub Scouting Adventures with the NEW Program!

This blue link above is a guide for knowing which adventures are required and which ones are fun and challenging electives.

Pack Meetings/Scout Parent Meetings: Held once monthly at the 2nd half of our Pack Meetings at Overland Park Lutheran Church. We go over upcoming events and current events, and YOU get to help plan for those!! Make sure you attend these Pack Meetings so you can see your scout earn their awards and watch the achievement process. You get to be involved with the planning, so you can help us to help the scouts to have a successful and fun scouting year!

Parents: We strongly encourage all parents to obtain Youth Protection Training! Visit My.Scouting.Org to create a free account, log in, click on the BIG Icon that says Youth Protection training, (takes about 30 minutes). Take Youth Protection Training, print certificate, and bring to the Committee Chair or Cubmaster for the Pack records.
This training must be retaken every 2 years.

Parents- your participation is expected in some way. Please communicate with your Den Leader, or Pack Leaders on ways you can be of assistance. The more help we have for the scouts, the more successful they are, and you will have more fun too!

Uniforms:

Cub Scout "Class A" Uniforms Blue for Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and for Webelos I's and Webelos II's, Tan Uniform top with navy blue epaulettes, are worn at Pack meetings and anytime the scouts are in public. Anytime the Collared Shirt "Class A" Uniform is worn, it is to be tucked in.
There is a second type of uniform that also can be worn when NOT in the public eye, a "class B uniform" (scouting related T-shirt) is just fine for the meetings.

**NEW!!! As of 2018---when they are available at the Scout Shop, the Wolf Den Neckerchief will now be Red with Navy stripes, much like the Den Rank. These will be swapped out when they are available, and for the scouts whom will be in the Wolf Den during the 2018-2019 school year.

Not sure where to place those patches and pins? Scouting.org has a handy printable file for uniform standards.

Available to any Family needing financial assistance for their scout...who LIVE in the SM West area. May include costs for registration to the BSA, uniform and handbook. This Scholarship Fund does NOT cover any Camp deposits or fees. May only be utilized one time per each year. This also requires a 30 day advance application prior to the due date of Pack Dues.

If you need assistance, this is always kept confidential. See your Cubmaster or Committee Chair.
You may also ask us for a form to fill out, then bring to us for review & signatures. After they have been reviewed and signed, you then take them to the Council office.

Leaders: There are LOTS of great links and information to help you under the "Leader" tab at the left side of this page!!

Do you have an OLDER Boy Scout, Venturing Scout, Exploring Scout, Varsity Scout or Sea Scout? Great! They are also Members of the Boy Scouts of America and can become a Den Chief. With this role, The Older Scout should possess the required skills to co-teach with Den Leader(s), be mature and able to relate to the youth and with the Den Leader(s), and be ready at any time to demonstrate a skill the Cub Scouts are needing to learn. Generally, an Older Scout is preferably one whom has earned at least their First Class Boy Scout Rank, and is at least 13 and skilled in the areas they will be needed to assist with. The Cubmaster and Pack Committee will make the decision to place the Scout into the role of Den Chief...or not. For smaller Dens, a Den Chief is not necessary. A Den Chief candidate should make their intentions known to the Cubmaster, and take training.

More about being a Den Chief:

https://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/CubScouts/Leaders/About/ThePack/csdcf.aspx

Training can be taken online (once approved to do so by the Cubmaster and Pack Committee): at this time, the online training is being redone by National, and is currently unavailable.
