Troop 435 is sponsored by the Calvary Lutheran Church in New Windsor Illinois. Come visit us on Thursday from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
We are a boy led Troop which adheres to the Patrol method of Scouting, and also believes Scouting should be fun and enjoyable for both Scouts and parents.
Patrols will plan, pack and procure food for their menu and camping outings.
Scout leadership elections are held every 6 months. We range from 15 to 25 active Scouts. The benefit of a smaller Troop is every Scout will have several leadership opportunities, including Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol leader.
Our committee and PLC (Patrol Leaders Council) Meet the first Monday every other month for planning the next months activities.

Besides working on advancement and Scouting skills during meetings, we plan Troop activities that use the skills we develop and are a lot of fun.
Once a month, the Scouts plan and execute a weeknd Troop activity. These activities consist of camp outs, hiking, canoeing, fishing, climbing, eco tours, swimming, and other trips envisioned and voted upon by the Scouts during their yearly planning meeting in March at Dunkin lodge. For many of these trips the family is welcomed to join us.
