Popcorn Sales Fall 2016

For each scout, Pack 217 pays for all awards, field trips, meeting supplies, and other incidental expenses. When it comes to funding these items, we have 2 options to earn the money necessary. 


Option 1 - Charge scout dues - $100.00 per scout for the year
Option 2 - Fundraise - popcorn sales of at least $350.00


*** This year we are also shooting to sell additional popcorn to help the boys pay for their trip to the USS IOWA in Long Beach!  

 

October 19, 2015 - All Take Order Sales forms  AND  money must be returned to the Popcorn Chair; Mrs. Drake at the Den Meeting! 

Popcorn Pickup Date: Monday November 16, 2015 

Pick Up  Location: Regular scheduled Den Meeting at St. Phillips

Important Note: You should collect all money due at the time of the sale. We ask that all money be paid when the Take Order Forms are collected on October 19th. We have to have be able Pay the Council office the entire amount when we turn in our orders. 

Have payments for sales made via cash or check to Pack 217. Scouts and their parents are responsible to collect all funds and will be responsible for accurate accounting of what was sold and money received. Before you turn in your order form and payments, please make a copy of the form(s) for your records.


There are 2 ways you can earn $ towards your per scout goal.

1. Participate in the scheduled pack popcorn sales. Each scout who attends will be credited his portion of the popcorn sold during the time he was participating. So, if $400 was sold in 2 hours and 2 scouts were present, each scout would receive $200 towards their $350 goal. 


*** the boys that participated in our 8/28/16 sale have almost earned their first $350 in sales***

Each sale is set for 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (except at St. Phillips) on the date indicated.  

Scouts/parents can sign up in increments of hours from 1 hour - 6 hours. 

I find the boys do best at 1-4 max, but we had 3 awesome Webelos on 8/28 who lasted the whole 6 hours!!!  Way to go Matt, Brody and Ethan!

I would like to try and have each boy be present for at least 1 sale. So they can all earn at least a patch. 


St. Phillip Church on 9/11/16 and 9/25/16 -  after all morning masses - 8 am - 1 pm


2.  Take Orders - these are the order forms given to everyone at our kickoff meeting. If you were not able to attend the Kickoff, please contact Mrs. Drake or get forms at our Den Meeting on 9/14/15.  


Other ideas:  Show and Deliver - Scouts (with their parents help) take on hand popcorn to friends, neighbors and businesses and sell! This is a great tool especially with the small $10 bags of caramel corn.  Make sure to wear your full uniform and represent scouts. 


Our pack will receive from 29% - 35% of sales to pay for a great Scouting program. Aim high and help your Scout understand the importance of their
FUNraising efforts.
